In response to an Occupy protest [Saturday] at Bank of America’s U Street Home Loans office, the Bank of America promised to work with Reverend Vanzant; a DC resident facing imminent eviction from this Fort Totten home. Occupy Our Homes DC has vowed to keep fighting until Rev. Vanzant’s home is back in his hands.
“I appreciate that they are now promising to work with me. I will keep fighting until I get my house back.”Rev. Vanzandt said from hospital bed.”
On Saturday, September 29, Occupy Our Homes DC shut down every Bank of America location in Washington DC in protest of their foreclosure of Reverend Vanzant - pastor of the first church in DC to specifically serve LGBT people of color.
